Actually, we moved to Springfield, not Brighton
There's my major accomplishment for the day: avatars from the Simpsons Movie website. I had plans, but nooooo.... I was about to walk out the door to the coffee shop tonight when

But I did do a little more than fiddle with yellow noses and T-shirt styles. I engaged in a little light bondage with our tomato plant this afternoon, tying its helpless little fronds to bamboo stakes, then (finally) nailed up some decor in my office: sword above the window, tiny kabuki masks above my desk, plaster Tom Sawyer plate from when I was one behind me. It looks a bit less like an unfinished attic now, though I'm still not sure what to do with the Wall of Muslin.
iTunes 7.3 just came out, and when you're sorting Album by Year it now pays attention to Album Artist — exciting, but it required a bit of tweaking of sort fields. There went three or four hours.
Last night we saw Sicko at the Coolidge. Very affecting movie; it put my own problems into scale. Though Moore isn't quite as even-handed as I'd like him to be, and there's a lot to nitpick, the broader picture he paints of our healthcare system is pretty damning. I've been enjoying the news articles that highlight every minor factual error in the film and criticize Moore for not presenting both sides. "Fair enough," I say, "but why don't you do the same thing when politicians speak?"
