The Rutles cover album was actually disappointing, even given that I didn't have very high hopes in the first place. If I remember aright, B,B&B cover "Number One"? It's, um, noisy. The whole thing is a bit of a shaggy dog story, in the sense that the existence of the thing is the funny part, and the actual thing isn't that entertaining. As such, after listening to it once I gave it as a birthday present to somebody who was probably entertained at the moment he opened it, and may well have given it to somebody else after listening to it once. So who knows? Maybe that copy will show up on your next gift-receiving occasion.
