Tonight I had a...well, I suppose it was a date, as we did the normal date sorts of things: I took her to dinner (at the ill-named Sushi.come), we hung out in my apartment chatting and looking at pictures and counting my walruses, we made with the kissy-face for a couple of hours. She (let's call her Busty J. from the SCA) and I have known each other for a while—we met through Scottish dancing, hung out at Rocky Horror, attended a con together—and we've had an intermittently romantic relationship for almost as long, subject to the oscillations of her boyfriends and how poly she feels at any given time. She is still not sure how poly she feels, which adds a certain amount of complication to my time with her, and I don't think we're a suitable match for anything serious, but we had a good time tonight. I'm glad we got a chance to hang out before I move on to Oberlin.
No live music for dance last night. Again. Grr. But I made my Most Excellent Tuna Noodle Casserole, which involves water chestnuts and cumin.
It rained hard today, the drops like angry bees diving into the ground. Our driveway turned into a small lake in the space of ten minutes. It feels like summer.
