Bound Printed Matter
Jun. 8th, 2004 03:29 amI came home from work tonight to find a box of paper, more than half a ream, on my bed: Kendra has printed her dissertation. I just finished printing her figures for her. This isn't, quite, what will be bound and published—she needs to defend, and then incorporate the suggestions of her committee—but this is pretty much The Thing. I am indescribably proud of my sweetie. And she is indescribably cute, grinning and flapping her hands and bouncing.
My acknowledgement is excellent: "This work is his achievement as well as mine; I could not have done it without him." It makes me tear up, a little. (And she put my mom in, which will mean the world to her.)
