Absurd Notions
Jun. 17th, 2004 04:54 amProbably 90% of my readership already knows about this, but Absurd Notions is a pretty darn funny webcomic. It's made me laugh out loud a few times in the first 10 pages, which is unusual in comic strips these days, and it's consistently pretty amusing. Mad propz to a discussion in
psocoptera's journal.
The basic premise seems to be this: a group of roommates grows irritable and bored living together, so to have something fun to do as a group they sign up to be playtesters for an RPG company. The strip switches between their real interactions and their characters' adventures, which gives the artist room to make meta-comments on the RPG scene.
Unfortunately, it looks like the strips stopped coming in April sometime, right in the middle of a storyline, so once you've caught up on the first 300 or so strips you might have a long wait. (Anyone know what's going on? The fora are surprisingly silent on the issue.)
