I made a time-lapse movie tonight! Granted, it is the second most boring time-lapse movie on earth: ice melting. (The most boring is water evaporating.) And also granted, I made some duffer mistakes, like allowing my computer to wake up from sleep halfway through, thereby changing the ambient lighting. Nevertheless, I have a Quicktime movie on my desktop that shows me two hours of melting ice in just nine seconds. I feel like Mr. Wizard!
It's a nice-looking movie, too: 640x480, crisp and smooth, no compression artifacts. Ready for PBS.
(It's funnest when I watch it backwards.)
Anyone have suggestions for interesting time-lapse movies? (Preferably indoor, since I don't necessarily want to guard my camera for six hours in a park somewhere.)
