Sith happens
May. 18th, 2005 04:59 amI'll be watching the last Star Wars movie in less than 20 hours. I am unrepentantly anticipatory.
I just finished rewatching Attack of the Clones, after rewatching Phantom Menace last night. It's interesting, in hindsight, to see the seeds of darkness in lil' Jake Lloyd, in his desire, even at age 9, to control the world, to manipulate events. There's a lot of subtlety in those movies, whatever the detractors say; I'm still picking up subtexts and allusions and plot points that I missed. (Anakin staring out from the balcony on Naboo—that's a shot of Vader, on the bridge of a Star Destroyer. Anakin blocking Dooku's lightsaber to save Obi-Wan—that's Vader, blocking the Emperor's attack on Luke.)
I am going to enjoy tomorrow night ever so much.
19 hours, now.
