Warning: hamburger
Jul. 9th, 2005 02:24 amI think it's a little dangerous to have a McDonald's, a Dunkin Donuts, and a Pizza Hut a block from my house. I don't particularly like any of them (well, maybe the donuts), but when I look into the cupboard and find all my bread moldy it's just too easy to toddle down the block for a hamburger. I mustn't do that too often—rather, I must explore the other nearby food options.
I spent much of the afternoon going to the post office. The post office is only a twenty-minute walk from my house (it's a few blocks north of the center of town), but when I got there I found my iPod had not, for some reason, stored the address I needed. So I walked back home—in the rain, I might add—found the address, walked to CVS to buy the mailer the post office lacked, walked back to the post office, waited in a second long line...and by the time I got home and discovered my bread was moldy I was ready for a fast hamburger. See above.
Quiet night tonight, and not just because I spent the evening IRCing and working: our cat is at the vet, getting spayed, and had to spend the night there. I wince to think of how sad and scared she must be right now. Tomorrow, much love and attention for our fluffball.
