I should probably reiterate one of my tacit rules for online interaction: if you personally insult me, you forfeit any expectation of a reply. This has been my policy for quite a few years; it comes out of endless Usenet flamewars which, I figured out eventually, never did anyone any good. Sometimes I forget myself, but, in general, personal attacks will only get you ignored. Personal attacks in my journal will get you deleted.

(Exceptions can be made for factual errors which I think are resolvable dispassionately.)
