Ah, dialup. It allows one to sip at the internet, to savor every packet as it arrives, rather than gluttonously swallowing a flood of data. So much more refined.
...Okay, dialup sucks.
adfamiliares and I are here at my mom's in Portsmouth, after a reasonably pleasant four-hour drive. A surprising number of frogs live in her development, and are preeping serenely at me through the window. We've just returned from Thai food (for me: limeade, chicken satay, a "golden puff" pakora-like thing, and "paradise shrimp" with sticky rice), and now it seems to be my filial duty to figure out the theft-deterrent light timer my mom purchased. It is hot and humid indoors, but the streets of Portsmouth were stroked by cool sea breezes, and the brick buildings glowed in the sunset light; I hope the nights are as perfect in Plymouth.
Tomorrow: Pinewoods, with stops to send a money order at the post office and purchase party snacks at Trader Joe's. Offline will I be until Friday night. Have a good week, everyone!
