Book update

Writing hasn't been going well since I finished chapter 3, but it's chugging along more or less smoothly now. Still uphill, but I have traction. ( Snipped for those who don't need the details. )

From the Discovery Channel:

"Nobody knows how much a mountain weighs, whether it's trillions, quintillions, or octillions of tons."

Given that the mass of the earth is about 6x10²¹ tons, and an octillion is 10²⁷, I'm gonna veto "octillions of tons". The sun weighs two octillion tons. *sigh*

(A quick estimate for a mile-high mountain of solid granite with a two-mile diameter base gives me about 12 billion tons.)
