Open wifi network, baby! (Real internet comes tomorrow.)
We are here. It's been a day, chock full of the expected stressors, exacerbated by the heat and the two hours of sleep I got Wednesday night. The cleaning crew were still cleaning the house when we arrived, and the movers (who had to drive here and back today) were kinda pissed about it. The box spring won't fit up the stairs to the third floor, so it looks like we're going to have to sell it and buy a hinged one. The futon frame fell apart (again), so we might have to buy one of those too. The bedroom is both enormous and W-shaped, which means there's more room than we need and less room than we need for the bed — which is okay, since, as you may have heard, the bed doesn't fit up here anyway. The bathroom tile is baby blue, which doesn't really go with our towels, which are maroon and forest green, or the bathroom floor, which is pee-colored.
But we'll work things out, and my opinion of the house is actually settling toward awesome. Kinda creepy at night, but awesome. I've got the iMac set up in my office (granted, on boxes), and I have a great view of Montfern Ave. to my right, with a cat, finally calm, asleep on the sill. I get to sleep now.
