This is one plant, remember:

Cherry tomatoes picked on Wednesday: 18
Cherry tomatoes picked on Thursday: 24
Cherry tomatoes picked today: 31

Help?

Anybody got any good recipes for (lots of) cherry tomatoes?

I don't know why we didn't do it earlier. At sunset, the glowing sky turns even the dirtiest river into a canvas. The colors are shattered from time to time by scullers, and then they reassemble in stilling ripples a mirror of the warmly painted sky.

The Charles River bicycle path is soothing and simple and tree-lined. We rode 3.5 miles to Harvard Square tonight (here's our route), then back, and barely felt it—when you're following a river (assuming no waterfalls), there's very little in the way of hills to climb. This particular bike path is a little asphalt track that's almost entirely separate from the car traffic, so it's a much more relaxing (and safer!) experience than riding on the streets. It took us under half an hour to get to Harvard Square, which is less time than we'd've spent sitting on the 86 bus to get there.

We passed beside Cambridge Cemetery, which abuts Mt. Auburn Cemetery, both of which will be good for quiet wandering. We sailed on ticking wheels behind the beginnings of an outdoor rave, all neon and fluorescent light, where a man in white managed the moaning beats while guests milled at the edges of the dance floor. "That was a movie moment," I called to [livejournal.com profile] adfamiliares behind me. "That shot would totally be in an urban evening montage in an independent film."

Moreover, we discovered that the Home Depot at Arsenal Mall, which took forty-five minutes of traffic grumping and getting lost to drive to, is less than a mile from our front door when on foot or bike. We dumbly watched it appear through the trees on our left, our mouths open. "Is that—?" "Yup." "My God, we're idiots."

Cherry tomatoes harvested today = 55.
