The warmth of your love’s
Like the warmth of the sun
And this will be our year,
Took a long time to come.

Don’t let go of my hand
Now the darkness is gone
And this will be our year,
Took a long time to come.

And I won’t forget the way you held me
Up when I was down.
And I won’t forget the way you said
“Darling, I love you.”
You gave me faith to go on.

Now we’re there,
And we’ve only just begun.
This will be our year,
Took a long time to come.

Final push

Looking to burn some of that election-night nervous energy? You can use the power of the internet to call voters in swing states to remind them to vote before the polls close! It's super-easy, and, in my experience, 3/4 of the time you'll just be leaving messages on answering machines. I just did a block of 25 calls in the last half an hour.
  1. Go to the phonebank page on my.barackobama.com

  2. Sign up for an account (you'll need an email address and contact info — it's very quick).

  3. You'll get a block of 25 voters in the swing state of your choice (I chose PA).

  4. For each voter you click on, you'll be given their name, phone number, age, gender, and polling location, along with a sample script. Call the numbers, and either leave a message with their polling location and closing times or ask them if they've voted. (Most of them probably have. Cheer and whoop alarmingly when they say so.)

  5. Click the appropriate button to send the results to the Obama campaign, to help them narrow their targeting over the next few hours.
Easy! Peasy! And people are nice!

If you're stressed, if you're worried that turnout won't meet expectations, this is a great way to put that negativity to good use.
