Finished the first draft of Salvage tonight. It shouldn't take me a month to write a 22-page story, but it is what it is. I'm not sure how much faith I have in this story at the moment, but (can't...resist...pun) I hope I'll be able to salvage it. Some of the language isn't bad, and I think I figured out the emotional arc a couple of days ago. We shall see.
