House in the woods

We're approaching the end of the flood of Acadia vacation pictures — only one set left after this one. (There there. Don't cry. That just means the flood of Italy pictures will recommence. Andiamo!)

We were extremely fortunate to find Woodland Park Cottages for our vacation, a cluster of cabins on Emery Cove on the north side of the island. Our hosts bent over backwards to accommodate us, the cabins were comfortable and dry, and we had access to our very own stretch of shoreline. These are photos taken in and around Woodland Park, including the rowboat trip across the cove on which we spotted a great blue heron (not pictured), a bald eagle, and a natural keyhole arch of rock.
