My subconscious is trying to kill itself

Half-asleep hallucination of the day: I was quite convinced that I had designed a simple gun emplacement and installed it on my nightstand as a demonstration model.

I was also convinced that I'd forgotten to install a safety, that it had acquired me as a target, and that if I moved a muscle it was going to shoot me through the heart. I lay frozen and sweating and terrified for five minutes, and very nearly screamed for adfamiliares to come upstairs and turn it off.
