Matchy matchy

I'm not a fan of fanfic, but I make an exception for professional authors writing ridiculous crossovers in which their own characters meet other authors'.

Suvudu is hosting an SFnal "cage match", pitting (say) Hiro Protagonist against Gandalf and Arthur Dent against the Shrike. That's pretty amusing by itself, but it becomes fabulous when George R.R. Martin writes the story of Jaime Lannister facing Cthulhu and Naomi Novik takes up the tale, with Jaime facing Temeraire:

"He's a damned dragon!" Lannister said. "How else do you expect me to face him?"

There was a brief moment of hideous, unfathomable silence—a shuddering void of horror that was not speech nor the absence of speech but its negation. Pitiless and incomprehensible, it yet spawned a kind of meaning which crept slithering like some unnatural gasping nameless thing formed of primordial elements into the back of the mind.

"Well, I suppose that would work," Hermione said, after Cthulhu had finished speaking.

"I don't understand," Temeraire said, doubtfully. "What is 'reality television'?"

I only know about those two because I read their LJs — have there been others, and are there more to come? I hope so!
