Drafted for the second time

Second draft is done-de-done-done. 146,568 words. 3,999 paragraphs. 524 pages. (It grew by 7% in revisions. This is better than the 10% it was growing by at the midpoint.)

Now I take a few days off, seek myself on a bike trip, maybe try to cleanse my palate with a short story. Then I dive back in, with the aid of my lovely wife, aiming to be done draft #3 by Hallowe'en.
