I haven't seen the most recent one yet, but I'd heard that the one before was where things started getting good, and was all hopeful, and was thus somewhat disappointed. :^( The plot is indeed picking up, but almost all of the characters are still infuriating idiots most of the time -- there's almost no one on the show who I actually want to see succeed. Which I guess is fun in its own way, but when I start thinking "ooh, this is gonna be awesome", and then everyone does dumb nonsensical things because it makes for pretty action scenes or sets up good speeches or advances the plot -- which was good -- it's frustrating.

Am more curious to see the next one now, though. You've gotten my hopes up again! :^)

This is vaguely spoilery.

It seems to me that if you operate this big ultrarich ultrapowerful organization, one thing you wouldn't do is keep using your actives in big visible public ways in the same urban area. I realize this is just one of those TV-is-filmed-in-one-place caveats that makes all Star Trek planets look like the rocks outside of LA, but I'd like to know why the Dollhouse takes the risk of an active being recognized by a past client, or worse, someone from their past life.
