Well my time went so quickly
I went lickety-splickly
out to my old '55.

As I drove away slowly,
feeling so holy,
God knows, I was feeling alive.

Now the sun's coming up,
I'm riding with Lady Luck,
freeway cars and trucks.
Stars beginning to fade,
and I lead the parade.

My new blue bike, with all its goodies and gizmos, came to $555.54. So I threw a penny in the Charles and gave her a name: Ol' 55.

On the ride home, a guy in an SUV cut me off to swerve into a parking spot. Two minutes later, a cute girl in a big floppy hat leaned out through her car window to say, "I yelled at that guy for you!" I consider that a good omen.

I'll miss Hoss, but he'll get a new home in Africa via Bikes Not Bombs. Adventure!
