Dream 1: I was invited to a party at someone's house, and even though I knew it was a dream I was looking forward to hanging out with people. In the upstairs room where I was invited to throw my jacket on the bed, the dog had pooped on the floor. The hostess asked me to hold the dog's collar, so he would know he was being punished and wouldn't poop anywhere else, while she went to find something to clean it up. I sat there on the hardwood floor, holding the dog and staring at the poop, for a long, long time, with sounds of revelry rising from downstairs. (I still have a vivid poop-image in my mind.) Finally, Fred B. appeared in the door with some paper towels and helped me to clean up the poop, but by then it was 11:30 and most of the party was over.

Dream 2: I was surprised and pleased that the two young women that I'd just met were flirting with me. One was tall, willowy, dark, with wavy black hair and a tank top; the other was shorter and blonder and plumper. They wanted to go somewhere where we could be alone, but couldn't think of anywhere. Fortunately, we were just below the Arecibo radio telescope (or something similar), which had had a hedge maze grown inside it, so they each took one of my hands and we ran toward it. After a long, anticipatory climb up a rusty ladder, we found that the hedge was only knee-high and swarming with fat tourists in sundresses and Bermuda shorts, but we wandered deeper inside it, laughing and chasing, until we found higher hedges and privacy. We also found a handsome, long-haired young man in Birkenstocks, sitting cross-legged, who struck up a conversation with my companions. I hinted strongly that we should continue on, but they plopped down on either side of him and began happily chatting with him. It was then that I noticed a widening hole in the floor between me and the three of them; all I could do was sit on the edge and look down into the green valleys far below.

I've seen the underside of the Arecibo radio telescope, and there's no hedge maze there. Must've been a different telescope. ;-)

(What, you were expecting me to interpret your dreams? Wrong Joseph.)
