10 Things

I've been avoiding this meme, because I haven't been feeling particularly interesting or adventurous lately, but I guess getting the Google job has helped my confidence. And I have become more aware of the tacit rule of these things, which is: reveal and occlude judiciously, to maximize the apparent impressiveness of your achievements. So, here are ten things I've done that I'm guessing most of my readers haven't:

1. Sold stories to several international porn magazines, including at least one you've heard of.
   
2. Lived on the island of Borneo for most of a year.
   
3. Been thrown against the wall by 10,000 volts passing through my tongue.
   
4. Chased down a violent felon and assisted the police in apprehending him.

5. Swum with a wild sea turtle. (Swam? Swimmed? Swoomed?)
   
6. Come within inches of being bitten (and probably killed) by a wild sea snake.
   
7. Broken bones while fighting.
   
8. Cuddled with Miss Michigan.
   
9. Pulled a wishbone alone and found myself with one branch in each hand while the center bit spun through the air and landed, point-first and quivering, upright in a wooden table.
   
10. Had ten adult teeth removed from my head, leaving me with 24.
    

I think I'm supposed to cross out and replace whatever someone says they've done, so I shall.

I've got number 5. I've been hypnotising people since I was six years old, and got really into it around 10th grade. Especially during choir trips.

Although I think the most people I've hypnotized at once is more like 6. So if you hypnotized more than a dozen people at once, you can still count it.

Well, I hypnotized my folklore class at Swat, but I don't remember how many people were there, and how many were affected, so you win. :)

That's nifty—I thought I was the only one! We should hypnotize people at Alumni Weekend.
