Grownup Bed
Feb. 19th, 2005 06:58 pmI upgraded to a queen bed when we moved out here, and although our families have been quite generous with sheets for it, I've been living with too-small blankets all winter. Last night, we finally buckled down and bought a queen-size comforter. This is the time to buy, it seems; everything is on sale. We found a lovely, luxurious one at Sears: ( Shiny! )
You'll note that, even if I now have a grownup bed, I still can't really make a bed like a grownup. Regardless, it's warm and poofy, and has enough colors to match most of the sheets I've been given, as well as my nice shiny curtains. It came with a dark purple bedskirt (which Gus loves hiding behind) and pillow shams (which are the silliest thing I've seen in a while, and live in a closet). I was nearly tempted into buying a duvet cover, but narrowly escaped with my manhood.
In other news, I've started the practical half of the Google exam. It's a lot of work, but I'm glad to have something vocational with which to occupy my time, and it's pleasantly absorbing.
