Too much time together
Feb. 7th, 2007 03:45 amC.E. Caveman is an anagram of cave canem. I think he would make an excellent recurring character for a sketch comedy show: "It's C.E. Caveman!" Each sketch would retell a scene from the gospels, but with a caveman hanging around, accidentally capsizing the fishermen's boat or throwing rocks at Mary Magdalene. "Thog have no sin!" he would say, and Jesus would grimace and shake his head: "That's our Thog!" The audience would be in hysterics. "Wine your blood," he would later ask, chomping on an oversized drumstick at the Last Supper, "but what dinosaur leg?"
adfamiliares could only wonder where he would find a dinosaur leg in the early first century, and how it is that he would learn Aramaic but not how to use the direct article. "For all you know," I cleverly retorted, "there was no direct article in Aramaic!"
Woman just not get Thog.
