If Dr. Seuss had written for Bob Dylan, the results would have been a lot like Dylan Hears a Who. There are six (free!) tracks here, all crafted with loving authenticity, from the bang-on Dylan vocals to the downgraded audio with all the hiss and crackle of vinyl. (The "album sleeve" is worth checking out; it features a prose-poetry ramble of pasted-together Seuss snippets just as incomprehensible as the ones that used to baffle you while flipping through your mom's old record collection.)

All six tracks, with or without blood on them, are fun, but I think Too Many Daves approaches greatness — "Dylan"'s plaintive croon turns "...and one of them Zanzibar Buck-Buck McFate. But she didn't do it. And now it's too late," into something haunting and sad and ludicrous.

The site was BoingBoinged into submission, so it may be down when you try. Check back, if so — it's worth it!
