We'll be in Boston this weekend, scoping out places to live. We have about a dozen on the list; chances are, we'll find one that's great. But I've been very stressed about it all week. I love our current apartment, and life has gotten a lot better since we moved here; what if the next place doesn't nurture awesomeness as well?
I've been stressing about the book all week, too. I worry that chapter five is twenty pages of artless and indigestible infodump. I'm hoping a weekend away from it will grant me some perspective.
So it was a somewhat tense, but still very nice, birthday today, and I've got a complete Tom Lehrer collection to prove it. (So cool! Thank you, sweetie!) We had two kinds of fish at a bistro downtown, and after we told the waiter "No dessert, thanks" he brought out, in lieu of mints, an enormous bowl of broken chocolate pieces, each one large enough to choke a monkey. Very good chocolate pieces, with nuts and dried fruit embedded within.
