Inside to outside
Dec. 21st, 2008 11:40 pmWe spent a long afternoon wading ankle-deep in Vaseline-colored slush. Wet clumps of snow plopped from the sky to soak our coats and turn us into a darn good imitation of a young yeti couple; I was able to wring out my socks when I got home. But my Christmas shopping is done! (Near enough!) Even better, my cold seems to have given up and gone in search of a less intrepid host. My back is still twanging at me, but more quietly — I was able to put my underwear on this morning without sitting down on the bed, which is, I feel sure, exactly the information you needed to make your day complete.
Mmm, I love not feeling like crap. Much better to keep the crap outside, where I can hide from it in fuzzy socks and amusing clown-size sweatpants.
