If it were 1986, I'd write a parody of Rock Me Amadeus called Barack Me, I'm Obama! But I won't. Probably.

Also, why does nobody call a collection of links a "chain"?

Anyway:
  • Best. Press conference. Ever. The guys behind the Mooninite invasion of Boston give a wonderful interview on MSNBC (click the video link to watch). That page also links to a Seattle Times article which contains this precious passage:
"It's clear the intent was to get attention by causing fear and unrest that there was a bomb in that location," Assistant Attorney General John Grossman said at their arraignment. [...] "The appearance of this device and its location are crucial," Grossman said. "This device looks like a bomb."

    Some in the gallery snickered.
  • Erfworld is the new comic that updates at Giant in the Playground when Order of the Stick isn't updating. It's only up to episode 22, so it's easy to catch up with. It's a very odd comic. Imagine a fantasy world based on a tabletop strategy game blended with puns and internet memes—there are ORLY battle-owls, for instance, and the time unit the denizens use is "turns"—all treated with deadpan gravity and epic significance. The art is very different from OoTS's, and Rich Burlew isn't involved at all, but it's worth checking out. The referent-density is impressive, and the story really starts grabbing you around episode 15.

  • Pocoyo is a truly adorable preschoolers' TV show narrated by Stephen Fry. This episode, like all episodes, is short but sweet.

  • Papercraft endangered species from Yamaha Japan. Print them out and fold them for your very own maned sloth or okapi!

You only get a chain when each link links to the next!

So, really, the internet is one big chain mail shirt?

For an infinite-dimensional alien, maybe.

Haven't really gotten into Erfworld, though I'm still reading it because it's there and reasonably pretty and, well, not work. My tolerance for people getting sucked into a parallel universe where Magic Really Works is fairly low. Bit too 80s.

I love that press conference. The more I read, the more I am coming to dislike Boston.

Erfworld is also written by Rob Balder, of PartiallyClips and The FuMP, who is generally awesome. Check out his other stuff.

Ah yes; Luke Ski was talking about the FuMP at Arisia. I should check that out, indeed.
