I was on the camp house porch, trying to remember the first line of Weird Al's Bob, which is a Bob Dylan style parody consisting entirely of rhyming palindromes. I remembered the first half, "I, man, am regal," so MyS and Andy suggested I write it out, then just copy it over backwards.

This led to "I, man, am regal—Lager-Man am I!" which didn't sound right. Then Andy pointed out that you don't actually need to double the middle L, which gives you "I, man, am regal—a German am I!" (Which, really, is the same thing.) But from then on MyS kept referring to me as "Lager-Man." Which was funny, particularly when she just burst out laughing and pointed at me, sputtering, "Lager-Man!"

We also worked out the premise for a sitcom starring Guy, cute Canadian, target of MyS-crush, Clark Kent lookalike. It would be called You and Me and a Guy Named Guy, and the American couple living with Guy would keep finding their mayonnaise had run out because Guy was using it on his fries, and so on. The opening credits would involve "you and me" opening the front door while Guy opened an interior door, so they'd bump into each other and make patiently amused faces and shake their heads endearingly.

Also, there were a lot of jokes about rocks, but on the main they weren't as funny as You and Me and a Guy Named Guy. Which is saying something.

Hello! I'm here by way of [livejournal.com profile] flammifera. I'm glad that I'm not the only person who had more than one post's worth to say about Pinewoods. Your version is more expressive than mine, though. I'm enjoying your vignettes very much. So far, "wet" is my favorite. You also seem to have had a more well-rounded experience than we did. Perhaps my sweetie and I will have to try not to be so single-minded next time (Dance! We're here to dance! Dance, dance, dance!). We probably would have relaxed more if we'd had more than just the weekend, or if it hadn't been our first time there. Hope to meet you at a future Pinewoods.
