It's the little differences. Like the fact that Ohio has "Laundramats" instead of "Laundromats." And the fact that the exit doors and entrance doors are switched on many stores, so we need to bear left instead of right to enter them.

This has not yet led to a hilarious sit-com collision, but I am sure that it will, given time.

My brother actually tried that quarter-pounder joke on me last night, when I decided to go for a typically American meal my first night at home and have McDonald's. Sadly for him, the joke failed because I haven't seen Pulp Fiction.
