Well, we seem to be back on the air. I thought they'd lost a few of my entries, then realized I needed to log back in to see them. Dopey me.
This is a placeholder entry; the good stuff is behind the cut, where "the good stuff" is defined as 16 pictures from our trip, totalling 2MB or so. Keep that in mind if you're on dialup.
Looking back to my first Christmas with K.'s family, here are pictures of K. with her niece Olivia, plus the handsome bunny rabbit yours truly constructed from the blocks I gave to Olivia for Christmas (*bows*):

Jumping forward to New Year's Eve, here are some pictures from Hogmanay: a bit of dancing; K. looking extremely benign; a striking picture of MyS; wee coquette Jessica (miraculously unattached to my leg); me with festivity in my hair; me in the catbird seat with Ellen and Karen; and Don being attacked by children (at my suggestion) at the recovery party.

I went to Philadelphia with Miriam, here pictured; I quite like this shot of her. I also include a slightly blurry shot of the amazing merman I mentioned.

From Beantown, I offer the view from our balcony, plus a particularly nice jellyfish photo, the amazing sea walnut, and a big-ass moray eel swimming about in the central tank of the aquarium. (The sea walnut is a bit blurry, but you can get the idea, and perhaps see why I was so fascinated. You can make out hints of the prismatic cilia, particularly in the upper left.)

Unfortunately, I don't really have any pictures from the APA; I felt a little intimidated, and didn't want to draw attention to myself and/or look like a rube by snapping photos all over.

That jellyfish picture is my new desktop background.

Who is MyS, your sister?
Heh. No, but I can see why you would think so. That would've made my long crush on her rather more scandalous. No, she is Melissa, and her initials are MyS; she was a year ahead of me at Swat.

Goodness me, how flattering! (Both to me and to the jelly, who winks at you and says "Bloop.") In that case, let me offer you a more suitably sized picture (http://www.oberlin.net/~jere7my/Images/BigJelly.jpg).
lovely pictures
Date: 2005-01-16 06:44 am (UTC)But I saw you, and many others, some, and had fun, and though I gather your visit had its down parts, it documentedly had good parts, which is good :)
