This sounds like a very easy game, but there is a trick—the one place I told you for sure I would not be is where I am! Ha ha! So guess Prussia or Uqbar or something.
I am, in fact, sitting at home. I had a guaranteed seat on the little Embraer that was to take me to Philly tonight, but the plane was grounded for mechanical reasons, so I called K. to fetch me back home. (I also called my mom (twice), my dad (twice),![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
eclecticboy, with whom I was supposed to stay, and Miriam. Complicated.) I am now listed on a flight which, supposedly, will deposit me in Philly at 12:11 tomorrow afternoon, at which point I will be whisked off to the 2:00 funeral by my mom and Aunt Alice. We shall see.
(The fellow who answered the reservation line was laughing hysterically when he picked up the phone, which cheered me up. Apparently, one of his co-workers was trapped in Vermont by the snowstorm, and someone in his office had just theorized that this person was probably frozen to a tree somewhere. Frozen and depressed, because their regional office was closing down. Ha ha! It took him a good minute to settle down enough to help me.)
Plus side: one fewer trip on SEPTA, I'll still be able to make the funeral, I get another night in my own bed (including the watching of Alias with my sweetie). Minus side: I'll have to wake up at 8:00 to catch my flight, I'll miss my planned rendezvous withflammifera tonight, and K. is not thrilled about driving to and from the airport four times in three days. I was sufficiently screwed by the cancellation to make this already-stressful trip more difficult, but not screwed enough to make the whole enterprise not worth doing—I found a nice local maximum.
