Attention Swatties
Jan. 29th, 2005 06:41 pmFor those of you in the Swarthmore area:
I am so, so proud of my sweetie. *beam*
This Wednesday (2/2) at 4:15, the lovely and talented Dr. K. '95 will give a talk in Trotter 301, entitled The Snake Puppet and the Zombie Tuna: Finding Religion in the Roman World. Apart from its obvious merits, this talk might be interesting to y'all because K. is a SWILumna—a former Loremistress, in fact. It's a classics lecture, but it should be accessible to a general audience, so anyone who'd like to show up and lob softball questions at her is very welcome. :)Student enthusiasm and participation is a big part of the process, so current Swatties are extra-encouraged to attend. You're not obligated to like her best, of course, but I imagine you will. Because...how could you not?
K. is one of several candidates for a one-year teaching position at Swat next year. The other candidates are also apt to be fabulous (though I am...slightly biased), and if you're involved in classics at all you should check out their talks too.
(Cross-posted to the SWIL fun list.)
