Hipy papy bthuthdy to me...

I turned 33 today. Quiet birthday, no muss; we're both tired from last weekend's trip, and plan to celebrate at Cedar Point (an A-nifty-keen amusement park) when it's a bit warmer, so today was just about relaxing and presents. To wit: Photoshop Elements, the Star Wars trilogy on DVD, a camera bag, several lovely CDs, John Crowley's The Translator, and the aforementioned weights, plus a few things still in transit. O very happy me!

The only other news of the day involves a book and a decision to wrestle and the first words of a second draft. The Slow Palace is a bit less slow than it was. "I have found some paper," it begins.

Is the book at a stage where you'd be interested in having people read it? I'd like to at some point.

The book is at a stage where I wonder how I could ever write such crap. But perhaps it will be better soon. :) Thank you, anyway.

Aren't you jumping the gun a wee bit, using the term 'Century/3'? Wait four months, and then you can truly celebrate that important event, in the appropriate fashion: by listening to lots of 33-1/3 rpm LPs!

A delectable and diversionful birthday, J7!

Hmm, good point. Okay, [personal profile] tapas, remind me that on your birthday I shall be a century/3!

Welcome to 33! Now, should you so desire, you can spend a year saying what I did at that age:

"Well, hell, I'm the age Jesus lived to, and I haven't accomplish *half* the stuff he did..."
